As Editorial and Systems Manager at S.I.R., Norrie brings enthusiasm and curiosity to all aspects of her work. With an eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Norrie leads the editing and proofing of research reports, business development materials, high-level correspondence, and anything else that lands in her inbox.
Leveraging a background in higher education program management, Norrie brings to S.I.R. a nuanced perspective forged through hands-on roles at Harvard Business School and an education-focused non-profit. This journey through academic administration and educational advocacy has honed Norrie's ability to navigate and enrich the pathways to knowledge, embodying S.I.R.'s commitment to lifelong learning.
A believer in continuous improvement, Norrie is actively engaged in developing more efficient and effective systems across the organization — understanding that to enhance a process, one must first be deeply acquainted with it.
In her free time, Norrie spends as many hours as possible with her nose buried in a book. She also loves exploring Richmond with her family and two-year-old puppy (she is a believer that all dogs are puppies, no matter their age), jogging along the trails by the James River, and drinking way too much coffee.
Cultivating Curiosity
Curiosity is the compass that guides my professional journey. When I was six, I won the "Reading Award," a very prestigious honor created and bestowed by my mom, and I've been seeking out stories wherever I can find them ever since. Hardly a week goes by when I haven't devoured at least two books, often in widely varying genres. With everything I read, I gather a tapestry of perspectives that I weave into my work. I carry this enthusiasm for knowledge into everything I do, knowing that every word we choose and every process we explore and improve shapes the experiences we create.
