As Managing Director of Research at S.I.R., Rebecca is a thought-leader in both quantitative and qualitative research methodology. She leads the S.I.R. research team in conducting best-in-class research and improving methodologies and workflows, all with the broader goal of supporting S.I.R. clients in achieving their research objectives.
Prior to joining S.I.R., Rebecca worked in the market research industry before joining a start-up software company specializing in brand tracking technology. Here, she developed state-of-the-art survey batteries which produce significant business insights. She also improved operational workflows resulting in more efficient processes for the company and higher quality research for clients.
One of Rebecca’s strengths is communicating research to a variety of stakeholders. She is comfortable speaking technical jargon to statistically minded colleagues, explaining complex methodologies to a variety of audiences, or writing actionable, data-driven insights for business executives. Rebecca has a great passion for research and loves to help others discover how data can help them achieve their goals.
Outside of S.I.R., Rebecca lives with her husband, young daughter, and pit-bull mix, Nigel, in Northern, VA. She loves to travel, cook, and entertain family and friends in her home. She considers herself to be a “foodie” and a roller coaster aficionado.
Left or Right?
While most children look forward to riding attractions or meeting their favorite characters, one of my fondest memories of visiting Walt Disney World was strategizing our park day with my family. Should we head left towards Adventureland or right towards Tomorrowland?
I discovered that human nature often draws us to the right—it's clockwise, most of us are right-handed, and so on. Choosing the road less traveled to the left would likely result in lower wait times and more accomplishments on our ambitious Magic Kingdom list. This phenomenon fascinated me and sparked my early interest in understanding why people do what they do.
My interest in human behavior led me to pursue a background in Psychology, a career in research, and a lifelong quest to discover what makes people tick. Today, I bring this passion to every research project, helping our clients gain deeper insights into their audiences and achieve their research objectives.
